We visit Towneley Hall quite often as it's just about within walking distance.
Unfortunately the main adventure playground is currently closed for renovations.
But there's still lots of woodland to explore.
We had a picnic by the lake.
In front of the main house.
Before making our way through more stunning woodland,
Up to the smaller playground.
Which is always a hit with Little Miss and Little Pickle has now discovered the joy a swings.
It's a lovely day out and well worth a visit. Parking is availible for £2 and entry to the Hall is free for residents or £5 for 12 months. So it's a really economical day out even on a rainy day.
