Lets Dance

I'm not overly pleased with this card, I just couldn't get it to "gel" like it did in my head.  My poorly doggie is now feeling well enough to be a pest, she is determined to stand right in front of my embellishment drawers.  I think it has more to do with her pain killers having worn off and her being cuddly and pathetic.  She can have another dose before bed to give her another restful nights sleep.

Out of This World!

This was a tough one, I didn't have any Belated Birthday greetings so I had to make do with individual letters.  But thankfully I think I got it pretty straight.

Valentines Love Boat

I love this image, it's oh so cute!  I'm really pleased I treated myself to the little beaded hearts, they finish off a card so sweetly.

Thank fully the snow has cleared here so at least other people's brum-brums will be back to normal.  My hand's still too sore to drive yet so my poorly doggie gets lifts to the vets from my lovely boyfriend who's been rushing home from work to take us to her appointments.  It's very nice to have a hand to hold when the news is bad, which it all seems to be at the moment.  Thank fully she did manage a few hours sleep last night and she seems to feel so much better for it.  Hopefully another long walk and another dose of painkillers will mean a repeat of that tonight.

Pink and Brown Fairy

I'm hosting the Enchanted Challenge over at DoCrafts.  I've chosen a colour scheme as the theme.  As I was thinking about what theme to chose I happened upon one of my old cards which I had been quite pleased with mostly because of the pink and brown colour scheme.  So I used that smae colour combo for the challenge.

Here's my entry:

Pink and Ivory Baby Girl

I love these Tatty Teddy digis, they're just so quick and easy to colour.  I've given her a pink nose as this is for a baby girl.  I'm chuffed with the change and with the way I've slotted the flower in.

Our First Holiday

This is a postcard I picked up in the first weekend away I spent with my boyfriend.  It was his birthday over Easter and I surprised him with a few days at a lovely inn on the Welsh coast.  We now go back to that area of the country every Easter - this has absolutely nothing to do with the discount fabric shop nearby!!!

Touch My Coffee!!

I love this image, it's just so me!  I'm a total caffeine addict and I do have a very annoying habit of being incredibly cranky if I don't get my fix.  I wasn't intending to go for a monochrome card, it just sort of ended up that way but I'm quite pleased with it.

Ding bat me broke a fall with my hand and tore the tendon in my thumb.  So now my left thumb is wrapped up in a huge bandage and it can take up to three months to heal - grrr!  The most annoying thing is discovering all the things I use my left thumb for, opening a bottle or turning a tap, squeezing the shampoo bottle not to mention the fun I have tying my long hair back!  But hey I'm adapting to a new way of doing things.  But I'm afraid you won't be seeing any hand cut decoupage from me for a while and I'm already sorely missing my knitting.

I wish I could say the poor pooch is faring better but following my vet's advice I've taken the very difficult decision to have her tail amputated.  She looks so sweet and pathetic without it, I keep telling her she's beautiful because I somehow feel she'll be self conscious about it.  But she'll recover from the surgery in a few days and with a little luck that should be the end of it, she should be able to have a decent quality of life for another year or two, which is pretty good going for a ten year old dog.  As soon as the vet said she could have just months I booked her in for the amputation the very next day.  I know I did the right thing but it helps to keep telling myself that.

Enough of my trials and tribulations, the rough times in life are there to make us appreciate the good times and I firmly believe that everyone gets only their fare share of bad luck, if mine's done for the year then I have a great year to look forward to.

Here's my rather rough card for today:

My second card for today, I did the washing up and vaced downstairs in between so I suppose this marks my last excuse for putting off cleaning the living room.  Oh well, I'll be glad to get the sofa throw back on now it's dry.  I could only find the sofa I wanted (at a good price) in a yukky grey colour which shows up the pet hairs terribly!  Fortunately my lovely mum made me a patchwork quilt many years ago which does the job perfectly.

Me To You Winter Birthday Card

I hope you're all keeping nice and warm on this oh so frosty day.  A huge welcome to my new followers, it's great to have you here.  And thank you for all the very lovely comments you've been leaving lately  they're really put a spring back in my step after a very busy week.

For me today is all about crafting with the occasional intermission for the cleaning.  I think that will be followed by a curl up on the sofa with a weepy movie, a mug of hot chocolate and my knitting.

I've got a poorly doggie so it was off to the vets this evening, snow and all.  But on the bright side Suzie let the vet change her dressing without being sedated which is better for her and saves me a small fortune on the vets bills.

A super quick last minute card for today.

Phew!  Another busy day.  But at least now I'm starting to get more days when I actually get to the end of my task list.

Just tea and one more card to make then my wonderful builder dad to see off home, he's been fitting some very neat PVC surrounds on my new roof windows today.  They look amazing!  I can't wait to get settled into my new loft studio, only a few months to go now.  I'll have to use it to store everything I own while the builders I've hired demolish the rest of my flat but there's light at the end of the tunnel now.

So on to today's card  . . . Well, yesterday's actually but hey . . .
