I haven't been to Oswaldtwistle Mills in years. I fancied a trip back and took the opportunity when they were doing some kids craft activities. I'd only seen the shopping areas before so I was surprised to find there was a lot more to the place.
There's a small adventure playground.
With a duck pond.
A soft play centre where we decorated some cookies.
And rode some rides.
Little Pickle had great fun practising his walking.
There's the usual ball pit and slide.
He's sooo ready to get on his feet!
Little Miss and her friends did some crafting.
She chose to decorate a treasure chest.
We had a play in the sand pit before heading home.
The parking, playground and sand pit are all free. There's picnic benches at the playground so there's no issue with taking a picnic if the weather is nice enough. There are plenty of cafes if the weather isn't nice enough to eat alfresco. The craft activity was £2 but it came with a half price voucher for the soft play so we got a full day out for less than a fiver - happy wallet.
