The Christmas ham has been languishing in the freezer taking up much needed space for too long. A dinner guest gave me an excuse to prepare this indulgent meal. It's super simple to prepare and left me with the day free to spend time with family while the slow cooker did the work.
I neglected to photo all of the ingredients before beginning preparation, so the ham absent from the image was in the slow cooker at the time this photo was taken.
Ingredients:
1kg Ham
2l Cola
tbsp Soy Sauce
2tbsp Brown Sugar
4tbsp Honey
tbsp Mustard
tsp Cinnamon
tsp Ginger
Throw the gammon and the full bottle of cola into the slow cooker and cook on low for about 5 hours.
Mix the spices
and the soy sauce
with the mustard,
sugar
and honey.
Score the edges of the ham.
Cover in the sauce and cook at 170 degrees for 25 minutes.
Served with frozen veggies and air fried chips.
