Little Miss is starting nursery next term so I figure I might as well get used to the rhythm of holiday / term time sooner rather than later. I really like the idea of making a point of doing some fun things with her over the summer. The freezer is well stocked so I can afford to take a little time off my usual bath cooks, freeing up the time to do some baking with Little Miss instead.
Ingredients:
Eggs (2)
Sugar 100g
Butter 100g
Self Raising Flour 100g
Chocolate Chips (or Raisins, Cherries etc etc)
Icing Sugar
Pop the bun cases into the bun tray.
Weigh out 100g of sugar and 100g of butter.
Mix, mix, mix.
Break the eggs into a cup and mix, mix, mix.
Add a very small amount of egg and mix, mix, mix.
Repeat until all the egg has been added.
Add 100g of flour and mix, mix, mix.
Spoon the mixture into the bun cases.
Mum puts the buns into an oven at 220 oC for 20 minutes.
Pour out some icing sugar and add a few drops of food colouring.
Add a little water and mix, mix, mix.
Spoon the icing over the cooled buns.
And add sprinkles.
Leave to set.
Or not . . .
