Fun in the Snow

I didn't plan a brown and blue combo for this card, it just happened that this lovely blue patterned paper I found in my My Minds Eye Antique Floral Paper stack had these little brown flowers on it so it sort of developed from there.  I do like it when materials inspire a design to "evolve" into to something completely different to how it started out.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Welcome to the World!

I love that phrase, such a nice change to the usual New Baby greetings.  I think I'm getting a bit bored of the run of the mill greetings and feeling a craving for something a little more unique and out of the ordinary.  I can see a new stamp set making it's way into my stash - but which one to choose!!?

Royal Purple and Ruby Red

What a gorgeous colour combination.  I'm a big fan of deep jewel tones so I was really pleased when Papermania brought out their Capsule Jewels collection with lots of lovely deep purples, red and teal with accents of gorgeous gold and silver - very sumptuous!  I treated myself to an A4 paper pack in addition to my usual 6x6 Paper Pack so that I would be able to enjoy it for longer.

Secret Garden Girlie

I didn't design it that way but doesn't it look a bit like you're peering into a secluded little secret garden and catching a glimpse of the little girl on her swing?
