Cottage Pie Budget Batch Cook Recipe


Flavoursome minced beef in a rich gravy topped with cheesy mashed potatoes.  British comfort food perfect for cold autumnal dinners.  Batch cooked for quick and easy, cheap and healthy family meals from the freezer.


Ingredients:
Minced Beef
Cheese
Potatoes
Onions
Garlic
Butter
Plain Flour
Oil

Tools:



Peel and chops the potatoes and put them on to boil.


Chop the onions.


And mince the garlic.


Fry them until soft adding the mince.


Add some flour.


Once the mince is cooked divide the mixture into oven proof dishes.


Grate some of the cheese.


Drain the potatoes.


Add potatoes and cheese to the mixer.


Add a generous dollop of butter.


And mash with the mixer.


Spread the mash on top of the mince mixture.


Top with cling film to prevent freezer burn.


Cook at 180 degrees centigrade for about 45 minutes.
